This class, we did mental math and Mr. Maks notified us that he will only be seeing us on Monday and Friday next week, but will be available for breaks and lunch time if we have any trouble or questions. Mr.Maks then explained Formulas for interior angles, measuring a polygon. We made a spreadsheet in excel for finding an angle measurement in a regular polygon.

www.rrsd.mb.ca/mci/dornn/Files/applied_30s/lesson%202%20-%20TVM%20Solver.doc
T.V.M Meaning Time Value Money, is used to find a missing variable on a calculator (TI-83+) for financial reasons; like time, interest rate, future value, etc.

I%- Annual interest rate
PV- The present value, or known as a principal
PMT- Payment amount
FV-Future Value
P/Y- The number of payment periods per year
C/Y- The number of compounding periods per year
When describing, or referring to questions, if we hear the words *Positive Value* That simply indicates the amount of money earned and put into your account; Whereas if we hear the words, *Negative Value* It indicates the amount invested, or taken out of your account.
When Inputting data on a TI-83+, You put in all your information, then highlight your variable you are trying to solve, then press Alpha - Enter

Today,we started with mental math, And Mr.Maks explained to us why he does mental math everyday. After for the rest of class we finished up on our budget spreadsheets on excel. So today's class was pretty stress free I'd say.

Today in class, We started with mental math, And did a homework check on Exercise 1. Barry was elected to fix the computer in the classroom when Mr.Maks is not here if it does not work to scan our accelerated math. We went over a few questions in Accelerated math, with Mr. Maks recording again with the headset.

Today, In math class we did mental math like we allways do every single day at the begining of every single class. Lucky me, I missed this one because i came in late from getting my hair done, but Mr.Maks made sure everyone knew why I was late... I think he was trying to make a point for something... anyways after all that we finished up what we started yesterday on excel, and continued on our eccelerated math.
***Remember*** test on Thursday
*and* quiz next week on Joke Sheets

First Post Assignment

Here is my first post, hoping to get full marks on it... This year in grade 11 applied I hope will be easier than last year. This is a smaller class so it is an advantage to learn and talk with Mr.Mak's more when we are unsure or do not understand something in our math assignments.
here is a link i found which might be helpful in math:
